Why Decorate with Original Art – Part I

Why should you decorate with original, unique art?

This begins a series that asks the question: why should you decorate with original art or give a gift of original art?

Many different facets and ideas will be discussed in the series, but this first article will answer with the obvious – because it’s original!

Original and unique art differentiates you from everybody else.

The world is full of more images than ever.  There is trillions to choose from.  The problem is that many are not only similar but identical.  Have you ever seen a picture of a waterfall in Yosemite?  How about a field full of Spring flowers with mountains in the distance?  Or a closeup of roses?  Of course you have.  Not only in galleries but online as well as posters in the big box store or craft store.

And that’s the problem.  Many people buy these pieces of art and decorate with them.  Pictures that are indistinguishable from other like them.  And what do they have?  A picture (yawn) like everybody else.  And a house (yawn) decorated like everybody else.  Nothing whatsoever that will distinguish them from others.

But if you want to be different.  If you don’t want to be like everybody else, one of the best ways to do that is to decorate with something unique.  Something original.  It may not matter whether it is a photograph or painting as much as it is unique.

If you care so little about the environment you live in, or care so little about what other people think about you, you might as well save money.  You can go to the big box store and pick up a poster for under ten bucks.  And a generic frame for not much more than that.

Or you can be different.  Decorate with something different.  Something unique, something original.  It’s really that simple.

The Fine Art Place specializes in unique and original fine art – both traditional photography and hand-crafted paintings.  You can read more about the art and artist here or view the galleries of fine art.
