In a recent post, I talked about pictures of old trains and how they are of interest to a specific demographic. The same is true about old farm equipment – in this case outdated tractors. Normally, when a person decorates a home or business, they will not choose old rusty tractors as art to decorate the walls. It is something that is more suited to decorating a man-cave or as a gift to an older farmer or someone with those or old-timey interests.

This is a unique painting created from an original fine art photo. The old farm equipment was parked along a road in rural farm country North Carolina. I have many images in these galleries, both photographs and unique paintings created from photographs, of old tractors and other antique, outdated, and quite rusty farm equipment.

I met the old farmer who parked the equipment by the road. He was retired. He told me that he had worked the land for many, many years and that as equipment wore out he would park it by the road when new replacement equipment was purchased. But he told me that all the old equipment was restored to the point it would still run. So what you see in this painting is old, outdated, antique farm equipment that is still running. Quite a testament to the year of his life he spent working the land.
