This old barn is a sight to behold. The original fine art photograph was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.
When you are traveling South on the parkway it is easy to miss. It sort of sits hidden by trees until you are even with it or past it. However, when traveling north on the parkway it is easy to be seen.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful all year round. The fall colors of Autumn in the Blue Ridge Mountains are stunning and that is when the parkway is at its busiest. For fall colors it has often been called America’s Favorite Drive.
The parkway runs 469 miles through Virginia and North Carolina. But the parkway is not only worth a visit in the fall. During all times of the year, the parkway has magic to offer. In the Spring and Summer the greens and wildflowers can be seen everywhere. And even in the Winter the bare trees offer a unique beauty all their own. And one advantage about an off-season winter trip to the parkway is the lack of people. You can drive for miles and not see another car.
During all seasons of the year the parkway offers many splendid places to hike with trails galore.
The original fine art image of this barn was used to create a unique painting.
