As said in another post, the giant redwoods of northern California are in a class of their own. If you have ever seen one of these beautiful trees, you know what I am talking about. If you have never seen one, there are no words that can adequately describe it.

There are giant redwood trees all over northern California. In fact, it’s hard to avoid them. One of the best spots to see them is the Humboldt Redwoods State Park which is not far from the coast in Northern California. The road named The Avenue of the Giants parallels Highway 101, a main highway in California. At that point Highway 101 is also named the Redwood Highway. The Avenue of the Giants also parallels the South Fork Eel River.

Needless to say, the Avenue of the Giants is aptly named. The giant redwoods are as tall as skyscrapers, and the avenue is densely lined on both sides with these beautiful trees.

As said before, the thumbnail picture above is named Where Giants Dwell. It is a unique painting created from a photo. In the gallery of The Fine Art Place there are many photographs and painting of redwood trees.
