North Carolina’s Outer Banks Beaches

OBX of North Carolina has some of the most peaceful beaches that can be found. This photograph has always been one of my favorites because is is very representative of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. A peaceful cloudy, yet sunny day. Beautiful sand dunes and sea oats. The sounds of breaking waves. The picture is of a sunny, peaceful and warm day on Pea Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Relaxing.

If you are looking for a beach with a hundred radios blasting, each a different song then the Outer Banks is not the place for you. Yes, one can find beaches there that have life but the normal environment on OBX is one of peaceful relaxation.

Even More Peaceful Yet

If you want even more peace, it can be found. Take the ferry to Ocracoke Island. There you can find long stretches of beaches without people on them. This is because most people do not take the ferry to Ocracoke. Visit OBX with a 4-wheel drive vehicle capable of driving on sandy beaches and you can find even more isolated spots.

On The Fine Art Place you can find many paintings and photos of Outer Banks beaches for decorating or for gifts.
